ikyaudio on Transistor Radio

Host Rani Woolpert welcomes members of the music-dance-video performance duo Poster Child, who will perform at Transistor Friday night; IkyAudio's Eric Nelson, whose handmade stereo speakers are now available at Transistor; and Mason Dixon of Motion Graphics Festival, which will be taking place in Chicago September 15-19; and Harry Sudman, whose
paintings will be featured in an upcoming exhibit at 33Collective Gallery, opening September 17.

6:30-7:00 p.m. The Silent K
Brian and Jeremy return for another episode of Transistor Radio's comedy quiz show -- a party for smarties and conundrum for dum-dums. Come be part of our studio audience, eat candy, and vie for a $25 Transistor gift card.

7:00-9:00 p.m. Andy Miles presents two hours of music from Transistor's CD and LP collection. This week he has new music from Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti, Avi Buffalo, Cornershop, Dean & Britta, Matthew Dear, Dum Dum Girls, Glasser, Goldfrapp, Here We Go Magic, Interpol, Menomena, Janelle Monae, Richard Thompson, and Women, and archival tracks from The Fall, John Lennon, Low, Modest Mouse, Naked Raygun, Pavement, The Smiths, Stereolab, The Sugarcubes and more. Plus he'll have details on how you can win a pair of tickets for upcoming Metro shows with Neon Indian, Menomena and Caribou.
